What ignited my desire to pursue photography?
💮 Well as I've said before.. I came across a photographer online wayyy back in around 2011, her name is Jasmine Star. She is now my coach and mentor and inspires me in a whole different arena. More business and development over aesthetic, although I love her style! It's clean and fresh. But wayy back when she used to shoot engagement sessions I came across her work then and you know.. something about her images then, they just moved me. I connected with them instantly. ⚡ They gave me a feeling of "possibility".. I saw creativity and I felt the mood and expression. Since then probably.. literally 100's of photographers and artists have inspired me, and I continue to find new works which open my eyes further. ✨ That feeling I have when I view certain, different pieces of art or i find an artist I absolutely fall in love with and resonate with.. you can't describe the feeling, it just is. I knew.. back then then that my connection to visual art was real as it threw oxygen to the flame that was already burning inside me. I've been exploring that ever since. 🌌 Image after image, my skills have grown & blossomed. It didn't happen over night and as I learned to find my own eye, feel & mood.. I have felt more and more connected to what I'm doing. It's all about trial, error, growth & development and like I always say! It's all a work in progress. 🎨 But don't you love that about photography/art? No two pieces are ever the same but you do get series or bodies of work as you create you get to see them emerge over the weeks, months & years. What's your why? 💙 Here's to finding your 🧿 📸 @yve.lou
