Can I be honest with you? Many people assume I am a photographer because I am passionate about photography... Although that is one reason! I really do what I do because it allows me to give back to what really matters.
There are a million reasons why I love to do what I do, but this (below) is what really lights me up. Was this piece of honesty “too real” or do you like to see “behind the curtain” of my business? Send me a DM and let me know!

Saw this quote today so thought I'd share! It's so, so true. Regardless of anything that happens to you, love is all that matters.
"Love is the only reality and it is not a mere sentiment. It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation"
Love people even if they hurt you.
Love people even if they hate on you,
Love your life,
Love the opportunities you have,
Love your opportunity for growth,
Love the gift of waking up this morning 🌄
Love your Freedom,
Love the mistakes you make for they teach you again and again,
Love your ability to choose love over hate.

You'll find me sharing content that Inspires me & I Feel Passionate about Such as.. the Arts, Climate, Animal Welfare & Human Rights. I also 💛2 take Pictures
I'm always looking for the people who share their heart, their dreams, their vision in a unique way. People who share their 🌍 without fear. People not afraid to speak up on matters that are important to them. People whose spirit is as compassionate as it is fierce. People who inspire change and a new vision for the world. An if we can throw in some exciting ventures along the way then.. 😃
You can connect with me via any one of these
Sometimes you only have words.. there are only so many online courses you can download and start to do. Only so many news articles you can read.. Only so many photos you can click through on Instagram without thinking, where do I actually fit in here????? In/On this net plethora of online global network connections & constant drop feeding of information.
The net is a BIG and vast place. It's a place for inspiration, entertainment, knowledge, comedy.. heartbreaking articles about real life tragedies and animal welfare abuse cases. News about female genial mutilation, domestic abuse cases and many human rights violations.
The internet is FULL of difficult issues that are currently going on and going on, on a global scale. From the destruction of the Amazon rainforest to Yemens war torn famine and disease. I can't help but wonder what more CAN I DO about this??????
I sometimes just feel so powerless. No matter the volume of articles I share, petitions I sign and tweets I make tagging the UN, the UN secretary general António Guterres & our own prime minister Boris, linking into charities and organisations it alllllll seems too fall on deaf ears. (Anyone listening)
What's a girl gotta do to be taken serious around here???
Right now all I have are words.
We're all in covid-19 lockdown, many of us are getting drunk (my hand has been up) and thinking up new Tiktok challenges or just watching Tiktok.. (yes?) I love the home styling tips and watching the challenges btw.
Tiktok seems to be the best entertainment lately! I can't get to the beach with my dog but shopping wise Amazon has done really well out out of me recently! Amazon is fastly becoming our go-to shopping outlet (especially in a lockdown situation) I normally buy my essential oils, fitness ball and lately I just ordered two flower crowns..? (Because you know.. it's nedded)
Photography has been the best way for me to relax.. create new content & share online for the way I see it, in my mind if my content just touches one single person and it makes them feel good then I have done my job.
As an art lover and creative, I know that seeing things that inspire me, makes me feel better.. even if "for a moment" In this world of constant information bombardment maybe sometimes all we need is some little snippet of inspirational visual content to relax our minds?
Now I'm not saying my content is for everyone.. but for that one person, that's what counts.
As I'm sharing a little piece of my world with you right now if you in any way wanna say hi back, or share your thoughts and leave a comment below then please do so! I'd love to hear from you & know where you're from. :) Namaste, Yve :) x
Hope you're having a Beee-utiful day! 🐝🌺

A picture may paint a thousand words, but what story does a blank canvas tell? That’s easy, whatever you choose!
I prefer to tell stories through pictures 📸 but if I could channel my inner Bob Ross, I’d paint a colorful abstract piece symbolizing our connection with each other and nature 🎨🌍🌿
Your life is a blank canvas... you get to choose what story to tell, so grab your paint brush and start painting! YL x (It's only the story of your life...) 😄💃🕺📸🌿

Who’s feeling brave today? Can you handle a reality check? How many things that you’ve moaned about today are part of the life you dreamed of yesterday? I know I’m guilty of taking for granted just how far I've come...
From starting at rock bottom an scraping to buy my camera and then learning how to actually use that camera. Hour upon hour of hard work.. long nights, commitment and dedication. The last 6xyears have seen some of the biggest changes to date in my life and now we face this recent COVID-19 virus outbreak. Absolutely everything has ground to a halt. (Or has it??..) Well 📸 the great thing about photography is that you can take it pretty much anywhere.
I have no sunset spring shoots to look forward too right now.. but there's always the Summertime! But you know what? Regardless of everything that's going on right now, one things fosho. Your life is so much bigger than this moment right now, but this moment can also be the biggest breakthrough in your life. It's all about perspective.
Taking stock and having that breather is in fact a God send. It teaches us that what we thought was important is not actually that important after all. So what is important? I guess it's important to trust the process and believe that in this moment of waiting, isolation and quarantine.. this is preparing you for something far greater than you ever anticipated.
All we need is perspective, friends! The little agonies are just a blip in the radar of the ecstasy that's coming!
Dreamers keep on dreamin..
Hustlers.. hustle (or.. just put your feet up for a min) tomorrow is still coming.

Maybe, in light of all that's recently happening.. the most reassuring thing right now is knowing that if we manage to self isolate successfully then we can hope to get through this #COVID-19 pandemic as soon and as safely as humanly possible.
What are you doing to get through your days? Are you looking on the bright side right now or are you worried? How are you managing these recent major changes to lifestyle? Do you embrace it or do you hate every second?
I'm continuing to work Fulltime for Mencap Cymru in order to provide fulltime support for vulnerable adults with a learning disability. I'm part of a vast network of colleagues who join together to provide this quality healthcare service directly for vulnerable people and I'm privileged to join hands with all of the other key, vital industries which enable this country to keep ticking over.
The NHS I think we can all agree is on the absolute frontline and we all are so grateful of the fantastic work the NHS provides for each of us.
It's work as normal for me and i really wouldn't have it any other way. In these extreme times it really makes me so grateful that i work with such an amazing team and our manager is fully supportive as is the immediate local authority. We are together, united #togetherstronger
Are you continuing to work or are you recently learning how to navigate a recent work shutdown? What sector are you working in? Have you got any good thoughts about the situation we are currently facing? I'd love to know what you think in the comments. Yve xoxo 🙌

Pick a food, a drink and a single form of entertainment you’ll bring along!
I’ll start: I’m going with.. Avocados, malbec red wine an iTunes loaded with absolutely everything because music makes my life full an nothing goes better with all-day Avocado Malbec breakfast than an all-day dance party 🎶🎵

I didn’t learn who Bob Goff was until recently and let me tell you, his practice of letting go of something every single Thursday that doesn’t serve him (like sugar, negative people, even his JOB) shows extreme commitment and courage. In the spirit of Bob Goff’s method, today... Sunday 1st March 2020 I’ll be saying peace out to overwhelm...
I’m sure it will be an adjustment, but I’m looking forward to pursuing my lifelong passion without confusion, negative self talk and wasted energy. Are you ready to let go of something, too?
Drop it in the comments so we can hold each other accountable! Life is so bigger than the things that may be holding you back. Carpe diem baby YL x

What ignited my desire to pursue photography?
Well as I've said before.. I came across a photographer online wayyy back in around 2011, her name is Jasmine Star. She is now my coach and mentor and inspires me in a whole different arena. More business and development over aesthetic, although I love her style! It's clean and fresh. But wayy back when she used to shoot engagement sessions I came across her work then and you know.. something about her images then, they just moved me. I connected with them instantly.
They gave me a feeling of "possibility".. I saw creativity and I felt the mood and expression. Since then probably.. literally 100's of photographers and artists have inspired me, and I continue to find new works which open my eyes further.
That feeling I have when I view certain, different pieces of art or i find an artist I absolutely fall in love with and resonate with.. you can't describe the feeling, it just is. I knew.. back then then that my connection to visual art was real as it threw oxygen to the flame that was already burning inside me. I've been exploring that ever since.
Image after image, my skills have grown & blossomed. It didn't happen over night and as I learned to find my own eye, feel & mood.. I have felt more and more connected to what I'm doing. It's all about trial, error, growth & development and like I always say! It's all a work in progress.
But don't you love that about photography/art? No two pieces are ever the same but you do get series or bodies of work as you create you get to see them emerge over the weeks, months & years. What's your why?
Here's to finding your 🧿
Happy Monday friends! How are you creating and innovating today? 🕊
I aim to try and do one new thing each day.. I said aim! I mean I'm human, I sometimes don't reach my goals, but you know what? I aim too. (There's a quote there somewhere) 🌙🌌
Some days may be like that ⬆️ but you will ALWAYS have other days when your energy or time is much less restricted, so those are the days you can "get your things DONE".
We all have aims, goals, objectives, dreams & desires. So what can move you closer?
I work by the philosophy of doing just 1x thing which moves me closer to my goal. So that's like...
That 1x phone call you just need to make.
That 1x piece of research you just need to do. That 1x new connection you just made.
1x new inspiration for the day.
You get it.. "That one thing"
(so if we say "aim" to do just 1x thing each day.. then that's 366 (potential) new things this year! with this extra day this leap year)
366 potential new experiences..
366 potential new reasons for growth and development..
366 potential changes or support to your community or charity.
366 day of believing that the 🌍 is your oyster (because it IS)
Carpe diem baby.. 🙌

We are all on our own paths.. the path of self discovery, finding our spirituality, growing, learning and developing from life’s experiences. As one chapter ends another begins. That’s life. Gratitude is something I try and practice regularly, be it taking a deep and full breath of air, enjoying a shower or savouring some food there is always something to appreciate. Finding the light in everyday tasks I think leads to a real sense of happiness and it’s surprising how people get burned out, stressed out and are surrounded by frustration.
Finding the light is a state of being, a state where anger and frustration can’t touch you & your worries are absent for a time. Finding the light is finding your state of peace. Finding your balance in this high driven, competitive world.
In fact I read that; “Scientific research on stress and anxiety offers various perspectives. The increasing pace of life, rushed and competitive lifestyles mean that stress is an integral part of human life. A person in a state of adapting to stress shows behavioral defenses. This leads to changes in one’s cognitive processes and emotional landscape. Stress is a well-known contributor to mood, mental disorders, and suicide risk. Stress is a term often used synonymously with negative life experiences, or life events. The long persistence of an overloading condition, in this case, stress, ultimately leads to mental health disturbances or the appearance of disease”
So being in a state of stress is literally like a silent killer affecting multiple areas of your life. Personally I dipped in and out of self help books over my teens and 20’s. Learning colour therapy, crystal meanings, Reiki, angel readings and stories, learning meditation.. I had a deep love of native American ways, what captivated me was their connection to the earth and wildlife around them to a great spirit Wakan Tanka or Buddhism.. you name it I explored it.
So this long road of awakening was a gradual process for me of learning and exploring what i naturally gravitated towards. It wasn’t until I came back around full circle, back to my Christian roots that I started to feel a deeper peace and understanding. A deeper connection to God. God however that looks for you, be it a universal life force energy, or one of the many religious beliefs or maybe you have no belief at all! You know.. it really doesn’t matter. What matters is you staying authentic to your heart, mind and your soul. For me the world is more interesting with an array of beliefs. It’s the spice of life.. it makes things interesting an It makes people alluring. We are all complex and unique that’s what makes life so intriguing.
Embrace your light.. however that takes shape for you, whichever form it creates. It’s interesting.. boomshakalaka.
Hope you’re having a great week! YL
About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water, the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth's water 🌊 Water exists in the #air as vapor, in rivers and lakes, in icecaps and glaciers, in the ground as soil moisture and in aquifers.
💧 About 6,800 gallons of water is required to grow a day's food for a family of four. ...
💧 70% of the human brain is water. ...
💧 Children in the first 6 months of life consume seven times as much water per pound as the average Western adult.

Yesterday was Make your Dreams Come True Day! If you have been procrastinating on fulfilling your dream, 2020 is your chance to get things right! Make your dreams come true!
Find that thing that moves your heart and soul, and do more of that. Writing.. Creating.. philanthropy & charity.. learning a new skill! Today is your gift! How are you going use it? Don't wait for the perfect time, create it.
I'm going to be honest.. I used to think "when I" (fill in the blank) have enough £££, gain skills, have X circumstance perfect.. then I'll be able to X, Y, Z! Well I had news for me because newsflash!.. NOTHING is ever perfect and that's the entire point! You learn as you grow. You develop more as you embrace how under developed you are in a certain areas of your life.
It's progress.. it's life.. push those obstacles aside and find that one thing you CAN do. Do that.. do more of that and soon enough you are further along than you ever dreamed of. Dreams don't work unless we do!.. Carpe diem baby 🌌🎉🙌

CLEAN AIR REVOLUTION 🌬🖤
I am a natural light photographer but i also practice Art which is inspired by current pressing #environmental issues.
#Art was created by using a #recycled Sheet, I created #poster like images from my own portraits and printed them using recycled ink cartridges then attached them to my window.
Took a piece of recycled cotton sheet, placed over the top & traced the images using natural light.
Solar energy is a renewable source which is freely available to us.
Using INK made from #airpollution I then created each piece of art.
These pieces are in a way also a historical reference as our times are slowly changing to embrace clean #renewable energy sources.
CLEAN AIR REVOLUTION
9x Portrait Series. 🌬
The reason i chose 9x portraits symbolically is because 9x out of 10x people worldwide Breathe Polluted Air.
#AirPollution hurts the planet with increasingly deadly effects on life, the United Nations Environment warns, calling on countries to take measures to usher in a #greener, cleaner and more #sustainable future." #UnitedNations*
5x #Portraits are taken from my own personal portrait photography they are #females which represent the Rise of New Fresh Female #Leaders. #WomenEmpowerment.
#LeonardoDicaprio for his Environmental Work & Climate Activism.
#AntónioGuterres United Nations Secretary-General for his work to Increase Climate Action.
#CheGuevara, #Revolutionary, Activist, two of his famous quotes i think relate to this pressing issue. "The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.” “The life of a single human being is worth a million times more than all the property of the richest man on earth.”
#LeonardoDaVinci, Leonardo Da Vinci's designs helped us to invent things like the tank, parachute, helicopter and many other things. He was also a very talented artist. This represents the #Science, #Ingenuity and #Creativity needed in tackling such a pressing global issue.

If you were to sit across from YOU 5x years from now, what would you want to know?
A. Your bank account balance; B. Whether you achieved the success you crave; or C. If you found the love of your life yet?
I would definitely go for all three! A,B & C 😜 because.. I can’t wait to stop living so much by my paycheck! ;) I have BIG dreams 🌌 & I look forward to love 💞
Of course, no matter what I tell myself I know that money, success & love are all readily available to all of us. We all have equal opportunities.. money doesn't define success anymore than true love can be bought with a price tag.
Living a rich life is a state of mind. I know that I'm valuable, worthy of love & every day I wake up to life I'd call that a success!
So, what would you ask?

When things just become the norm.. first a “harmless” bit of fishing rope next we have sperm whales beached and washed up with stomachs full of plastic. This is serious and it’s an emergency. Waste management has never been more important but I feel that we need political leaders willing to take these matters very seriously and actively look to implement change across the board.
We need leaders who will take action. We need leaders to be there for us and also our planet! To tackle the serious issues we all face and create change.
For future generations. YL

I've been highlighting how important Whales are recently with my FB posts, we've had multiple sperm whale deaths just off the UK coastlines this year... to the point! WHALES are an amazing and magnificent species and also have now been proven to help combat climate change by sequestering carbon.
The right whale in particular (i realised only recently from watching a Sir David Attenborough documentary) are probably some of the the most FRIENDLY of the Whale species out there.. known for their calm natures.
They got their name from Whalers looking to hunt them, they called them "Right Whales" because they were regarded as the "right ones to hunt" they float when killed and often swim within sight of the shoreline. They are also docile and didn't shy away from the whaling boats."
☆North Atlantic right whales are on the verge of extinction. Only about 400 remain☆

Gender equality is no5 of the United Nations sustainable development goals.
“Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Unfortunately, at the current time, 1 in 5 women and girls between the ages of 15-49 have reported experiencing physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner within a 12-month period and 49 countries currently have no laws protecting women from domestic violence. Progress is occurring regarding harmful practices such as child marriage and FGM (Female Genital Mutilation), which has declined by 30% in the past decade, but there is still much work to be done to completely eliminate such practices.
Providing women and girls with equal access to education, health care, decent work, and representation in political and economic decision-making processes will fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large. Implementing new legal frameworks regarding female equality in the workplace and the eradication of harmful practices targeted at women is crucial to ending the gender-based discrimination prevalent in many countries around the world.”
Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities! 🎉
💙Observed by the United Nations.
I'm lucky enough to work with and have met a lot of special people. People i have come to know in our local community and people who I can also call friends.
My job as a support worker quite literally changed my life 9x years ago and I know all the girls I work with currently and guys I've met along the way who also do this role will completely agree that we all LOVE our roles as support workers! ☆
Just because a man lacks the use of his eyes doesn’t mean he lacks vision.”

What were you like as a kid? I was a tomboy and that really shaped me. I’ll always treasure how my dad fought to get me into the scouts after I begged and begged him to go. Turned out my dad was a softie and managed to leverage it and so.. I was the first ever girl scout in my area!
It turned out that wanting to get involved in the kinda outdoor activities the scouts were known for helped me develop skills in knot making (cause that’s a life skill right!) specifically reef knots are my “one and only” fancy knot skills. I also kayaked the River Wye, went climbing, mountaineering & my fave! survival camps! (Not quite Bear Grylls but was darn close!) 🤣 Without that, I don’t think I’d be the girl boss I am today! I love a challenge! What shaped you most during your childhood? 🚣♂️🧗♀️🚴♀️🤸♀️📸

It was a privilege working and meeting Chris & Di as a volunteer photographer on behalf of Mencap Cymru's "Our Social Networks" project.
This project is about history and nature of friendships and intimate relationships experienced by people with a learning disability living in Wales today.
I learned about Chris & Di's journey, how they met each other and fell instantly in love. I was moved at how they both were gushing with affection for each other.
On a couple of these photos they are pictured outside the door Di's old residence a ground floor flat which has now been turned into a cafe, this is now the rear entrance.
She said that they'd often meet around there when they were both courting. They both affectionately reminisced about their first encounters, falling in love and getting married.
