6 years ago my eyes were opened up to the magnificent world of photography.. 5 years ago I scraped enough money together to put myself through a part time photography night course so I could learn about photography and how to use a camera..
I was the ONLY student without a camera 📷 because I literally spent all the money I had on the education!! So my thoughts were.. that the “education” would be a good investment because it was over a year! So a years worth of learning about a subject I loved. (It was a great investment) and I thought that after a few months into the course.. then I should maybe have enough money to buy a camera!..
It got to the October time and the tutor took me to one side & said that it was essential that I now have a camera because otherwise I really couldn’t complete the course!. So with half the money saved up, my dad 🙏🙏 actually helped me with the remaining so I could purchase my first ever beginners DSLR!
FAST FORWARD & I now photograph a range of different models and have started a “woman at sunset” project 🌅 I also document nature and environmentally themed topics that I’m interested in, and I have been lucky enough to have my clean energy work of “innogy WindFarm” published in their recent annual report. I also love photographing couples & provide wedding photography bespoke services.
Never let your circumstances define you. If you have a dream of doing something.. only YOU have that ability to go out there and grasp It with both hands.. make it happen and don’t give up. Don’t let anything stop you!
Don’t be afraid to look like a fool and sign up on a photography course with not actually owning A CAMERA!!!! Don’t let ANYTHING stand in the way of your dream. And keep in mind this quote below ⬇️
lastly.. (Remember to Go hard after your dreams..) Yx
