Happy Monday, friends! I’m coming to you live from my room (which I'm currently kindly lodging at with my beautiful parents..) Sipping a nice fresh cup of coffee ☕ & thinking of a couple of useful tips i can personally share with you on how you can best plan & prepare for an "Outdoor, Natural Light Portrait Photography Shoot Session" 📸
So let’s dive in!
📌 Tip 1) Create a mood board & PIN some of favourite pictures, looks, locations & poses. I love this method and often use Pinterest to collect the looks I personally love, get ideas and inspiration. You can really have fun with this as it gives you a real chance to get in touch with your own personal style & visual astetic: What are you drawn to? This can really help you to hone down & pinpoint the kind of mood you want to achieve in your final images. Also.. Share this board with your photographer so that they can gain a deeper understanding of your needs & desires. They can get an overview of the vision you have for your shoot & good photographer will really appreciate this deeper insight & so do their absolute best to help facilitate everything for you on the day.
📌 Tip 2) Try on your wardrobe aka your chosen outfits well ahead of time & if having a couple of changes on the day then try & work out which order is going to be best for you to run through. Working outdoors brings its own challenges so by streamlining in advance it will help you to fully prepare so that you aren't all in a fluster on the day, you can then relax and focus fully on capturing the images which you're going to love.
