I am a natural light photographer but i also practice Art which is inspired by current pressing environmental issues.
The series below is a total of 9x portrait images. I decided to include famous individuals and also a portrait by Leonardo Da Vinci. The reason i chose 9x portraits symbolically is because 9 out of 10 people worldwide breathe polluted air.
"Air Pollution hurts the planet with increasingly deadly effects on life, the United Nations Environment warns, calling on countries to take measures to usher in a greener, cleaner and more sustainable future."
5x Portraits are taken from my own portrait photography, females which represent the rise of new fresh female leaders.
3x Notable Men i highlighted were:
Leonardo Dicaprio for his Environmental Work & Climate Activism.
António Guterres United Nations Secretary-General for his work to Increase Climate Action.
Che Guevara, Revolutionary, Activist, two of his famous quotes i think relate to this pressing issue. "The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.” “The life of a single human being is worth a million times more than all the property of the richest man on earth.”
Lastly i also chose a famous portrait by Leonardo Da Vinci:
Leonardo Da Vinci's designs helped us to invent things like the tank, parachute, helicopter and many other things. He was also a very talented artist. This represents the Science, Ingenuity and Creativity needed in tackling such a pressing global issue.
Clean air is a basic human right. It is the duty of our leaders worldwide to innovate, work hard & be a part of the green revolution.. We can do this inclusively using, innovation, hard work, sheer dedication, bold tenacity, fresh creativity, science and art! Yvette Louise
